Running an agency is hard
How many agency owners can honestly say they have perfected their process and everything runs smoothly and efficiently?
Running an agency is hard.
There are so many moving parts.
I’m a big believer in building a people-first organization.
I care a lot about my team and the clients we work with.
I care about striving to do excellent work that’s fit for purpose, well-considered and thoughtfully executed, and that’s not rushed or underdone but also not too complex or over-future-proofed, either.
I care about growing sustainably and giving my team opportunities to do fulfilling and meaningful work that inspires them and enables them to inspire others.
I believe in always being curious and continually striving to design more elegant solutions to complex problems.
I believe in minimalism and doing things with a purpose.
So, why is it so hard?
It’s so hard because we are all learning and figuring things out as we go.
It’s hard because we’re perfectionists and good enough is often not good enough.
It’s hard because we’re all human and we’re figuring out how to communicate effectively and clearly and how to express and manage our needs and expectations.
I guess it’s hard because we care.
Does anyone else find it hard? Or is it just me?
